The Training Facility:
The Training Facility is the base of NYSUM operations. It contains virtually everything needed to serve as a base of ministry operations for all types of outreach teams. Guests stay in clean college style dorm rooms with all the accompanying amenities.
Housing:
There are separate men’s and women’s floors, which combines, can house up to 250 people. There are no family accommodations.
Dorm Rooms
- Single occupancy rooms
- 1/2 bathroom in each room
- Showers on each dorm floor (men’s and women’s)
- Prayer and Devotional Room and Lounge on each floor
Dining Room Cafeteria Style:
- Seating up to 200
- Can also be used for large general assemblies or conferences
- Seating in table rounds of 4 per table
- Piano
Fellowship Lounge:
Air-conditioned casual seating area with couches, vending machines, game tables, and TV/VCR. Used for relaxation and social time as well as ministry preparation and prayer.
Chapel/Classroom:
Air-conditioned chapel seating up to 80 people that doubles as a classroom. Includes a P.A. and piano.
Administration Office:
NYSUM’s offices are located on the 2nd floor of the building. The office will receive out of town messages and mail. A payphone is located in the lounge for outgoing calls.
Parking:
There is very limited parking directly onsite. Only ministry team vehicles that are used on outreaches will have space allocated. Subway Access:
The building is 3 blocks from the 46th Street Station with excellent access to Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
Dorm Building:
The doorm building located 2 blocks away contains the Food Pantry blessing New York City churches and a Children’s Ministry Training and Preparation area.
